Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge, seeks revenge

As the English Premier League (EPL) enters its week nine today, football fans all over the world would definitely be entertained again with thrilling football matches.
Table toppers, Manchester City will play Southampton, while Arsenal confronts  Middlesbrough. Bournemouth will trade tackle with third placed Tottenham Hotspur, while  defending champions, Leicester City hosts Crystal Palace.
However, all eyes would definitely be on the big one between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge in West London tomorrow is already eliciting nostalgic feelings among Chelsea fans all over the world.
It is, indeed, a mix grill, a kind of nostalgic and revenge feelings rolled into one.In the beginning of May 2015, Chelsea won the Premier League title with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. It was a day of relief as well as exultation. It was José Mourinho’s third title with the club, his first since he returned in 2013 for his second stint as manager.
But the following season all was not well as Chelsea plunged into a period of profound crisis.
The Blues had a rough time under Mourinho, failing to defend their title and struggled in all their games. They crashed out of the Champions League, losing over two legs to Paris Saint-Germain.
As a result of the numerous crisis ranging from players to the team’s doctor, the Special One was sacked.
Mourinho will tomorrow return to his former home for the first time since being sacked, as he leads Manchester United to ‘war’ against Chelsea in a week nine match.
No doubt, he sees this game as the most important in the first part of his tenure as Manchester United manager, and it would be a sweet revenge for him, if he wins at least to justify that his sack at Stamford Bridge was not merited.
Mourinho as Manchester United boss started the 2016/2017 season with a 2-1 loss in the derby to Manchester City, lost 3-1 to Dutch side Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League and 3-1 at Watford.
But with four wins, two draws, two loses, with 14 points to show for their effort so far, the Portuguese would definitely want to win the battle at Stamford Bridge to be in good stead for the league title contest.
To be able to counter Chelsea’s foray, the Special One would heavily rely on the services of new sign on Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic  Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba.
And should Chelsea win, they will be five points clear of United after just nine games.
Indeed, Antonio Conte’s men have been in brilliant attacking form in the League so far, considering the number of matches they have won.  With five wins, and only one loss with 16 points, the West Londoners look good to go against United.
Costa has netted several match-winning strikes this season under Conte, and is in such good form that new £30million signing Michy Batshuayi is yet to start a league game, and Chelsea will heavily depend on him to carry the day.
